Oh, what a summer!
Summer has flown by for our family; in between vacations and celebrations we’ve been busy! I wanted to recap some of my favorite memories with you!
Waterloo, Iowa Cabin Trip
We look forward to our annual cabin trip to Waterloo, Iowa, every year. It’s a perfect little getaway and not too far.
We always stay at the Waterloo / Lost Island KOA Campground and rent one of their cabins on the pond. The kids enjoy all the time they get to go fishing and since we go over Memorial Day weekend, the campground usually has extra festivities planned.
Wahl Family Reunion
As the five year tradition continues, we had our family reunion this summer in Kentucky.
We left a day early to just spend extra time with everyone, and even though it was a bit of drive, it was well worth it.
At the last reunion the two littles were unable to join us, so this time it was extra special them getting to be able to meet everyone.
Cheer Camp
Both Mahkena and Aubrey signed up to cheer through our local junior team. They got to participate in “camp” over the summer. We can’t wait to watch them this football season as they cheer on the Junior Indians!
Kaylei’s Birthday
Kaylei May turned 16! We had a small family party and she had some of her friends over one night to celebrate! Happy Sweet 16, bug!
Minnesota Trip
Ending out the summer, John and I joined the family for our yearly Minnesota Trip. We enjoyed a few days in Minneapolis visiting the Mall of America, playing mini-putt at Puttery, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings at one of their pre-season games. Always one of my favorite weekends of the year!
These summer months have been so good to us! We’re ready for you fall!
