September 2021; our month in video

September has come and gone and you know what that means: a new video recap of our month! It was a family-filled month with school starting back up, hotel overnights, backyard camping, and birthday celebrations. Putting these videos together always make me appreciative of the life we have and the people in; we truly are lucky.

See what we’ve been up to!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INTERVIEWS (2021).

well, it’s that time again for another year of school and one of my favorite yearly blog posts.

our three brave girls weren’t so ready for summer to be over, but were excited to be back around their friends. i am so looking forward to watching more of them and the lessons that they learn – both in school and in life.

our girls started eighth, fourth, and second grade this year. we kicked off the new year with some of our typical “first day of school photos”.

first day of school interviews (2019).

just like every august, we’ve done everything we need to do: gathered new school supplies, spiffed up the school wardrobe… however, this year was a little different for my girls as they both started new schools in a new district. this year we ventured to roscoe; a new elementary school and dare i say it…middle school.

i think i was more nervous than they were…but they were so ready, so confident. this momma was proud of them, pulling back their hair, laughing their crazy laughs, and most importantly just being themselves on their first day at their new schools. i am so looking forward to watching more of them and the lessons that they learn – both in school and in life. Roscoe, we’re ready for you!

first day of school interviews (2018).

there is no rule book to prepare you for these days. the days where summer comes to an end and you send your kids back to school. the days where all of the love, guiding, laughter, tears, and discipline you’ve poured into them is what you hope is enough to carry them through.

summer is already over and it’s back to school time. my girls started fifth and first grade this year. we kicked off the new year with some rain in the forecast and our typical “first day of school photos”.
