Over the weekend we celebrated our little girl turning the big E-I-G-H-T in a few short days. We asked Aubrey what she would like to do to celebrate her birthday and she chose to have a party at home with family. After going through a few fun theme options, she decided on an ART party. How fun!
I immediately took to Pinterest to get my creative juices flowing and they had so many cute ideas!
I stumbled across this adorable Paint Brush Rice Krispie Treat idea, and knew the girls would enjoy helping me make them!

They were super simple to make and even easier when you buy the premade Rice Krispie Treats. (#momhack)
As if birthday parties don’t already have enough sugar, we also used this fun idea; a paint palette cupcake station for the kids. We picked up a few paint palettes from Amazon, you can find them here. We baked two dozen cupcakes the day before, picked up some frosting, and an assortment of sprinkles. With the help of the family, we divided up all the different sprinkles into each section of the palettes, placed the cupcakes in the middle, and let the kids go to town.

Another #momhack? Lay out a cheap, disposable plastic tablecloth for them to decorate on and once they’re all finished it’s easy cleanup.
Aubrey was super excited about her party and asked if she could give out goody bags. We found these cute art-party gift bags on amazon, picked up a few toys and candy from the local store, along with this assortment of party favors and topped them with some colorful tissue paper. They turned out so cute and the kids were happy.

We are so thankful that we have so many wonderful people in our life that love and care for our Aubrey Lynn just as much as we do. Happy birthday beautiful!
