1/4th of our year in photos.

A fourth of the year has about gone by and we’ve been nothing short of busy. Between birthday celebrations, mini-vacations, and every day life April has snuck up on us. I wanted to share a bit of our year thus far with all of you; enjoy!

Valentine’s Day

John and I drove up to Chicago to stay at one of our favorite hotels for a few days to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We love the hotel’s city views and how close it is to some of our favorite restaurants. We enjoyed the time away and look forward to going back.

Mahkena’s 10th Birthday Party

Our little girl turned 10 and we celebrated with close friends and family at the house. Of course she had to have a ‘bunny-themed’ party with a giant donut cake. All smiles from our 10-year old as we celebrated her day!

In case you missed and would like to read my letter to her on her 10th birthday, you can read it here.

Kaylei’s 8th Grade D.C. Trip

Kaylei got an awesome opportunity to go to Washington D.C. with her 8th grade class at the beginning of March. She had a such a great time! She got to experience so much, including her first plane ride!

Cousin Spa Night & Slumber Party

While Kaylei was enjoying her trip in D.C. we got the cousins together for a spa night…manis, pedis, the whole works. The boys even enjoyed some pampering!

Celebrating Mahkena’s Birthday

I took a day off to have a girl’s day with Mahkena to celebrate her birthday. It was filled with donuts, LOTS of shopping, her favorite lunch spot, and a trip to the arcade.

We finished our night with face and foot masks that she begged Johnathon to be a part of. 😝 All in all, it was a great day that we enjoyed so much!

And here are a few more photos throughout these months…hope you are enjoying the year as much as we are. Come on spring!
